Vice-Chancellor KEMU, Professor Khalid Masud Gondal, said his faculty appreciated the project and provided the necessary support to realize the idea of an air ambulance service.
In addition, Professor Abrar Ashraf praised the president of the medical services offered in the surgical tower of Mayo Hospital.
The president, dr. Tahir Ali Javaid emphasized that the air ambulance is the need of the hour. He directed members to accept suggestions from interested individuals and institutions before writing the policy.
He also said the service would only be available in Multan, Lahore, DG Khan and on the highways in the first phase. Thereafter, the service will gradually expand to other cities.
It should be mentioned here that the chief minister, Punjab Usman Buzdar, announced more than a month ago that his government is considering starting an air ambulance service to ensure that patients from remote areas arrive at the hospitals in time.
He said the current government focused on providing quality health services to the people of Punjab. It uses different resources to offer the best treatment facilities for people.
