Chinese Company Will Build a $ 2.7 Billion Kohala Hydropower Project in Pakistan
When invested at an estimated cost of $ 2.7 billion, KHPP is Kohala Hydro Company’s largest hydroelectric project.
The private sector is building the project under a BOOT model. It will be transferred to AJK’s government after 30 years at no cost.
The KHPP will not only meet the energy needs of the region, but will also create thousands of jobs and stimulate the slow economy of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The authorities are relieved that the project is in good hands, since CTGC, the older company of KHCL, is world leader in the development of hydroelectric power.
The company has the most advanced and scientific ecological concept in the design and development of hydroelectric power projects in line with international standards.
