Talat Hussain, a well-known journalist on a private television channel and former high-quality cricketer, illegally occupied Shalimar Cricket Ground, while Cricket Ground’s authority on Shakil Shaikh (president of the Islamabad Regional Cricket Association (ICA) ).

In addition, the Green Belt along 9th Avenue in Islamabad is also illegally occupied by the children of Shakil Shaikh.

Here is how it went down.
“… communicated by the Director of Sports and Culture of the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC), that the profession is functioning without any legal consent, therefore it is on the greenway and it is requested more for its early elimination” read a letter from CDA’s Director of Execution, Faheem Badshah, to the secretary of the national department on January 20.

Despite official plans, the operation was postponed after the Mafia forced a special assistant prime minister to contact the interior minister, Shaheryar Afridi.

According to media reports, eight motives have been illegally occupied in Islamabad; 5 of these lands are built with green tires and CDA wants to demolish them.

Corruption and Nepotism: Deadly combination

This is not the first time that Shakil Shaikh was in the middle of such a situation.
Shakil, who used his position as president of the ICA, promoted his children by domestic ranks.

With the son of Talat Hussain who also wants to reach the national team of Pakistan, his ties with Shakil Shaikh are the ones they suspect the least.
For anyone who advocates corruption and nepotism, Prime Minister Imran Khan should not only address this situation, but should also set an example and demonstrate his commitment to his promises.
