Lahore’s Anti-Corruption Department Ban the Use of Phones During Office Hours: The anti-corruption law banned the use of cell phones during office hours, a local media report said on Friday. According to the report, the Lahore region of the anti-corruption bureau prohibited its employees from using cell phones during work hours.
The decision was supposedly taken to guarantee the total confidentiality and efficiency of the officials in the performance of their official duties.
There were reports that criminals used to attract employees to filter their files through WhatsApp and other sources.

However, the department also prohibited unforeseen photocopies of any file without the prior permission of the relevant official.
Employees were asked to leave their home or in the car. They can also leave the phone at the door with security guards. In this case, employees will be issued a token number on their phone, which they can deliver so their devices can return to the exit.
The decision came less than two months after the National Accountability Office (NAB) ordered a general ban on the use of cell phones during office hours.
At the beginning of December last year, the president of NAB Justice (retd), Javed Iqbal, ordered all regional offices to impose the ban.
He also directed Grade 17-18 researchers to wear the specially designed NAB uniform during work hours.
