NHA Makes M-Tag Registration Mandatory for all Vehicles in M-1 and M-2
The new step will help take away the long lines of vehicles waiting long enough to pay the toll and enter the highway. This will allow multiple drivers to leave the toll station without stopping.
M-Tag is an RFID chip prepaid on the windshield of a car. When the car approaches the toll plaza, the scanner automatically scans the chip, retrieves the data related to the balance, the location of the entrance, etc.
When the driver leaves, the amount is automatically deducted, thus eliminating the need to stay and wait in long rows.
