Official Public Holy days 2019 Notification issued: In a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the government announced holidays for the days of Kashmir, Pakistan Day, Labor Day, Eid ul Fitr, Eid ul Azha, Independence Day, Ashura, Eid Milad un Nabi (SAW) and Quaid-e-Asam day.

In a notice issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the government announced holidays for the days of Kashmir, Pakistan Day, Labor Day, Eid ul Fitr, Eid ul Azha, Independence Day, Ashura, Eid Milad un Nabi (SAW) and Quaid-e-Asam day.

In addition, there are three public holidays for the banking sector, including 1 January 7 May and 1 July.

“The public holidays for Muslim festivals are subject to the appearance of [the] moon for which a separate notice will be issued,” the notice said.

In addition, the government listed 23 optional public servant holidays. These holidays include New Year’s Day, Basant Panchami, Shiv Ratri, Holi, Dulhani, Shab-eMairaj, Good Friday, Holi, Easter, Nauro and many others.

Government officials wishing to take advantage of optional holidays should request prior authorization from the central office.

“Muslims can only take an optional holiday, while non-Muslims can take up to three,” the notice said.
