The International Olympic Committee (IOC) punished India for not allowing two Pakistani athletes to participate in the 25m fast fire event in Delhi. The event was a qualifying round for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, but the international body recalled the status of the tournament as a qualifying event. After the event, the two best athletes would have qualified for the Games.

A statement from the IOC attributed India’s refusal to grant access to Pakistani athletes against the rules of the IOC.

This situation goes against the Fundamental Principles of the Olympic Charter.

The two Olympic Games in 2020 will now be available at other events.

In addition, India will not receive an event related to the Olympic Games in the future unless it receives written guarantees from the Government of India to comply with the IOC rules. The regulator also encouraged other international sports bodies not to allocate housing rights to India to politicize sport.

The IOC Executive Board also decided to suspend all discussions with the Indian NOC and government regarding the potential applications for hosting future sports and Olympic-related events in India.

According to the Indian Olympic Association Roadmap (IOA), the country plans to organize the Olympic Games in the year 2026, the Asian Games in 2030 and the Olympic Games in 2032.

According to the reports, the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) is also planning to push the International Cricket Council (ICC) to ban Pakistan from participating in the 2019 World Cup match Indian Government.
