Pakistan and Japan are Considering Setting Up a Technology Update Fund

Ambassador of Affairs of the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan, Yusuke Shindo, called on Abdul Razak Dawood, Adviser to the Prime Minister of Trade, Textile, Industry and Production and Investment, on Tuesday.

The meeting took place at the Ministry of Commerce and discussed issues relating to bilateral investment and trade.

At the event, the prime minister’s adviser stressed that the country’s fishing sector should be improved. He said the existing infrastructure of the industry, including the port of Karachi, had a great need for development.

During the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed the setting up of a technological improvement fund to strengthen the country’s manufacturing base.

The meeting investigated the progress of the decisions taken during the Pak-Japan business dialogue held in Japan last year in Japan and also discussed the agenda of the next business session.
