The Pakistan Super League (PSL) management held a meeting at Sindh Rangers headquarters on Wednesday to review PSL security upcoming matches in Karachi.
Rangers to Tighten Security for PSL Matches Held in Karachi
The meeting is chaired by general director Sindh Rangers, Muhammad Saeed, according to a spokesman for the paramilitaries.
Along with the PSL administration, the Karachi commissioner, IG of the Terrorism Office in Sindh, was also present at the meeting of additional inspectors and guards.
The purpose of the meeting was to design an infallible security plan for the upcoming PSL parties. The members agreed to increase the number of rangers for the safety of the players, the management of the team and the supporters.
With the increase in tension caused by the weakening of political ties with India, the PSL administration emphasized the strengthening of security forces to prevent any terrorist activities.
PSL matches in Karachi are scheduled for March 27 and 29. After these two matches, a qualifying match and the final will also be played at the National Stadium in Karachi.
