He took over the acting managing director after his boss Imran Farookhi left the office last week.
Farookhi was raised last month after Amin Rajpoot, along with the General Director of SNGPL, was removed from the office of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
After his demo, Rajpoot returned to his original commission from CFO in the same company.
Informed sources said that Farookhi and his counterpart in the SNGPL are under pressure from influential members of the Energy Working Group and politically linked personalities to follow unwritten orders.
This took place in the midst of a continuous controversy over the surplus of gaseous fuels that emerged after raising gas prices by 143% last year.
