Twitter has reduced the number of accounts that a user can follow in a single day on Monday in an attempt to combat spam on the microblogging platform.
The total number of Twitter accounts that can be added to a user’s list has been reduced from 400 to 400, the San Francisco Internet firm said.

“Go ahead, stop following, continue, stop following. Who does this Spammers,” said the Twitter security team in a tweet.
Technological giants warn Australia against the law to break encryption:-
“That is why we change the number of accounts you can follow from 1000 to 400 each day. Don’t worry, it’ll be fine.”
Software programs also known as “bots” sometimes run Twitter accounts, which automatically follow a large number of real people, some of whom tend to vote by sending them back.
High tracking records can serve to increase the status of both accounts, which can, as a result, enable links to websites or marketing content in tweets or follow-up messages.
Technology companies should be responsible for the “false news” on the sites:-
The Twitter policy prohibits the use of the service to distribute spam, which defines it as “massive or aggressive activity that seeks to manipulate or interrupt Twitter or the users’ experience on Twitter to give traffic or attention to accounts, products , services or unrelated initiatives. “
In addition, the factors taken into account by Twitter when determining whether the accounts are being used for spam are short or long term in a large number of accounts.
